Week of Prayer for Association Missions

 

The dates for this year’s Week of Prayer for Association Missions have been designated by our Association to be May 5 – May 11. The theme this year is “Caring People, Changed Lives” (2 Corinthians 5:17). The week will be highlighted by two combined services on Sunday, May 5 at 6:00 p.m. One service will be at Blanchard Baptist Church in Livingston and one service will be at Fairview Baptist Church in Lufkin. Gene Hazell and Stephen Pinkney will be preaching at Fairview.  Fred Alford and Mike Meadows will be preaching at Blanchard. A love offering will be taken at both services, with proceeds going to a new BSM ministry at the Angelina College – Polk County Campus. We encourage your church to attend one of these special services. Please call if your church needs special offering envelopes.

Senior Adult Ministry Events:

 

Monday, May 13, Fish Fry and Games Day at Lake Livingston State Park, 10:00 a.m. Fish and drinks will be furnished. Bring a vegetable, salad, or dessert. Also, bring table games, dominoes, tables and chairs.

 

Monday, July 8 - Domino Tournament and Games Day, Harmony Hill Baptist Church, 10:00 a.m. Sandwiches and drinks will be provided. Bring chips and desserts. The SAM Council will meet following lunch.

 

Monday, September 9 - Banquet, FBC Corrigan Family Life Center, 6:00 p.m. The Livingston Swing Band will entertain.

Training Events:

 

This year's East Texas Christian Leaders Conference will be held on Saturday, August 24 at Denman Avenue Baptist Church in Lufkin, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. More details to come.
